Take Colombian-born Juanes for instance, who comes back on the scene this year with his first album in three years. “Mis Planes Son Amarte,” is the first major visual album by a Latin performer and we are thrilled to highlight that feat within our pages. We caught up with the performer, husband and father at his Key Biscayne home to chat a bit about his new venture, his impressive guitar collection and how he was inspired by the great who came before him, namely: Metallica. The album, which can be seen everywhere, including YouTube, highlights some other familiar faces besides Juanes’. Expect glances of Puerto Rican super model, Joann Smalls, soccer player Juan Pablo Angel and Toys for Boys cover alum, J Balvin. And as we love to keep it in the family, our second cover topper is also looped in with Balvin as he will make a cameo on an upcoming video of his as well.
Gianluca Vacchi and his gorgeous fiancé Giorgia Gabriele are known by their millions of followers for their infectious, choreographed dance routines that have gone viral on the internet. The duo will dance off to anything from a romantic ballad to a reggaeton jam, complete with moves that are perfectly in-sync. But social media fame wasn’t enough for the Italian entrepreneur who prides himself on pushing the envelope. In an effort to up his talent stock, Vacchi has taken up DJing, practicing for hours on end and taking to the major stages globally.
And he’s not the only one who’s expanding his portfolio outside of the realm of social media—our only female cover girl, Caroline Vreeland, is also buying up stock with her other talent assets. The singer, who we shot for this issue like a mermaid due to her siren-like voice, has taken up acting, picking up a second season of Lee Daniel’s American musical drama television series, Star and has just shot back to back campaigns for footwear giant, Steve Madden, with whom she is also in talks for a collaborative collection.
We look forward to sharing these stories with you, our readers, and to bringing them to life with a series of summer time soirees that promise to have you feeling the music, as well.
